Job Title:           Production Assistant/Operator

Station:             KFSM-TV

Location:           Ft Smith

The primary focus of the Operator is to co-direct live news broadcasts from the Fayetteville studio, operate Chyron, studio cameras, teleprompter, audio console, the video tape recorders and other control room equipment.  You must be physically able to reach and manipulate all operating controls on the technical equipment, have the ability to make decisions and react quickly in order to respond to last minute program changes and equipment malfunctions.  Also, you must have a good sense of timing in order to back time programs and pre-roll equipment. Having experience in operating Chyron and audio during newscast, knowledge of lighting techniques, and how to frame camera shots is required.
